Sniff Notes for Monday, May 7th, 2010
May 07 2012May is off and running. All ready 1/4 of the way through the month and the thermometer is blowing up again in Wake Forest, NC. Time to find some relief from the heat and my never ending yard work in the form of some stuff about wine!!
-List of some delicious wines tasted in CA recently from the Oakville AVA inside of Napa Valley. I think I would have enjoyed this one for sure! Enjoy the descriptions!
-When we lived in California we lived in a little town outside of San Jose called, Santa Clara. One of my favorite things to do was to drive through the Santa Cruz Mountains. Here is a great explanation of that AVA and the challenges of growing certain varietals.
-Okay, so if you are hungry DO NOT READ THIS ARTICLE. Well, even if you are not hungry you may still find it hard not to be drawn to Portugal.
-So many wines, so little time. Such a common theme for most wine enthusiasts. Here is a great post about a varietal that is not only misunderstood, but it is hardly known, Aglianico.
Wonderful week of wine tasting and exploring ahead. Make time for own wine adventures!
Cheers!
